New USGA Auditing Procedure

As you know we have instituted a new posting procedure to comply with USGA.  The only thing extra we are asking you to do is turn in a scorecard for every round you play.  Both home and away.  Cards are to be put in our drawer in the El Dorado Pro Shop or can be handed over to a director or scanned and emailed to me a handicap@eldoradogolfclub.org

Make sure that all score cards have the following information:

1. Full Name!

2. SCGA Number!

3. Signed and attested when possible!

4. Dated!!

5. Adjusted Gross Score!

6. Tees you Played!

We look at 20% of all the scores each month.  We check to see if you have posted.  We check to see if you added correctly.

Away Rounds:

Always post.  You can also Internet Post through the SCGA website:

www.scga.org

Select Los Angeles County and El Dorado Park.  Then choose the tees.

New Members without SCGA numbers

Keep your scorecards.  Make sure they have the correct information.  See Above.  Wait until you have five scores then put them in an envelope and place them in the drawer in the Pro shop.    On the envelope put your name and phone number.

The handicap committee will develop a “Local Handicap” for you.  This will be for El Dorado events.

Mission Statement: The Handicap Committee of the El Dorado Park Men’s Golf Club will make every reasonable effort to guarantee that members of the Club play at a handicap that is indicative of their ability and/or potential. To this end, the Handicap Committee will track members’ scores, identify those members who exceed acceptable norms (which have been established by the USGA) and as necessary, make objective adjustments when warranted by numerical results.
