Minutes Tournament Chairman We are in the middle of the Long Beach Golf Festival, which equates to the course being close a few weekends during the month. In July we will have our Member-Guest, it is a great time to bring a guest to our great course and then get them to join the Men’s Club. If you have not signed up for the flights see Dennis Tramer ASAP. It is a fun event and an easy way to meet new people in the club. The Long Beach Open is on the 27th of July and we will have our drawing for spots in the Long Beach Open Pro AM at the general meeting. Last year the club was represented by 5 different teams and 4 of them cashed, if you have played in prior years you know how much fun it is. Buy those tickets at the meeting!!! Our August Tournament is the Partner-Partner. It is a fun event with four different formats over the two days. It is truly a “partner” event, pick your mate wisely. Fill out the form in the newsletter or come to the meeting in July. The weekender is September 30th- October 2nd. We have negotiated a great price $300.00 = 3 days of golf and two nights lodging based on Double occupancy. Don’t miss it we are going to close this out this month. See you at the July Meeting. Vaughn I finally found the Tournament I can cash in, 2 years in a row, but you know; some times you need to keep it simple to do well. I noticed by the score cards that some players had really good scores and some who didn’t have very good scores. I heard from some they like the format, and from others the format sucks, anyway you put it, it was a fine day for golf. The Gross Fight was won by a team who must like this format this is there second year in a row to have won. Alex Gay, Terrell Powell, Eric Burke, Bill Hunt and Dan Holley. Congratulations on a great win. A-Flight was won by a last minute put together team of Mark Haver, Atul Anand, Brian O’Malley, Greg Stratford and Joe Escoboza nice win guys. B-Flight was won by the team of Dennis Tramer, Greg O’Brien, Jay O’Brien, Jeff O’Brien and Steve Liebeck, this shows that if you keep it simple good things happen. C-Flight was won by the team of Terry Henson, Paul Standish, Dan Ahearn, John Yeakel and Jack Wilemon with the low score of the day 196. We had a great turn out for Fathers day with tee times from 6:30 to 11:30 and I’m sure every one had a great day Thanks for coming out. In August we have our 2 day Partner-Partner this one is a lot of fun, the first day we play, front nine a Cross Over, the back nine Select Drive Second day front nine Partners Better Ball back nine Aggregate. Find a Partner Fast this one fills up. See ya at the Meeting. Rich

Ostberg No report this month. Nick Zamora Well half of 2005 is gone! The commissioners meeting this month was completed in record time, about 45 minutes. With all the sub committees having completed their tasks, the rest if this year will be a little slow? On to some basic information. The rounds for the month were down 1.98%. our course was plus 6.65%. The year to date totals are as follows, down 17.85% and our course down14.85%. Per the city and American Golf this trend is everywhere, just not in Long Beach?? Revenue for the month generated over 1.5 million, and the City % was over 373 thousand. As you know the C.I.P. fund is for the bond payment, and the balance in that account is 323 thousand. Our tree trimming appears to be just about complete. Some final clean up is needed but most of the actual trimming is complete. The Jr. Golf program and Little Linksters accounts are in good shape with 84 thousand and 73 thousand respectively. There was the "D" day event held at Heartwell where all the proceeds go to the Jr. golf program. The exact figures are not in, but it was a huge success. Our Club hours are in line. We submitted the names to the City of the Hall of Fame nominees we selected. I will advise you of these folks once the City gives the approval. There are still plans in the works for a nice opening for the Hall of Fame building at Skylinks. I will keep you advised of that date. One more item regarding the Hall of Fame Inductees. At the conclusion of the Long Beach Open, we will have a ceremony for these new members. It would be real nice if some of you planned on attending this ceremony. It will only be about 10-15 minutes. Well that's it for this month. See you at the next meeting. Ray McElhenney No report this month. Jerry Leininger No report this month. Bob Livingstone
