Saturday Team Play Appreciation Dinner


The 2004 Saturday Team Play held its annual Appreciation Dinner on Friday, May 21, 2004 at Buster's Beach House.

Thanks to John Davis (JD) for all the hard work it took to coordinate the event.

El Dorado Clinches Group Title with Victory Over Costa Mesa

El Dorado February 14-The El Dorado Saturday Team brought home the Group 19 Title with a convincing wins over Costa Mesa 36-12. The Team was lead by Tom Link (71 net), Greg Lester (71 net), Ruben Gonzales (71 net), Stan Faris (72 net) and Tom Conlisk (72 net). Playoffs begin March 20, pairing to be announced later.

El Dorado Drops First Match at Costa Mesa

Costa Mesa February 7-El Dorado suffered their first defeat Saturday to Costa Mesa, 26-20. The final group match at El Dorado versus Costa Mesa on Valentine's Day will settle the Group 19 title.

El Dorado Wins Second Match Over El Toro On The Road

El Toro January 17-El Dorado's Saturday Team won their second in a row, rolling over El Toro in El Toro's backyard, 31-17. The Team won 7 of 8 Team matches to improve to 2-0. This week's stars: Steve Liebeck - net 66, Kevin Orr - net 70 and Greg Lester - net 71.

El Dorado Balanced Attack Key in Drubbing of El Toro

Long Beach January 10-El Dorado's Saturday Team prevailed over El Toro in the first match of the 2004 season, 38-10. Twelve players shot net par or better. This week's stars: Stan Faris - 67, Don Russell - 70, Ed Fernades - 70, Wayne McGhee - 70, Paul Wildy - 70, Jim Baber - 71, Kevin Orr - 72, Greg Lester - 72, John Davis - 72, Tom Link - 72, Bill Johnson - 72, Ruben Gonzales - 72

Thursday Team Play

The El Dorado Thursday Team won the Group 21 Title with a 5-1 record.

The Team lost its 1st Playoff match vs. Brookside 30-18.
