Happy New Year to All.

Well here I am back filling in for Dennis, as he has moved to the desert. It is always an honor to serve all of you guys once again. I will only be here a year. The Board of Directors has been working, trying to get some golf for the members, Steve Cook has an away trip this month, Team Play is trying to figure out a way to play. We also still have a Golfer of the Month each month. Hopefully, we well have tournaments back by March or April.

I was a Director last month and ran the Golfer Of The Month. We only had 3 cards turned in. Omar Diaz wins Gross Golfer of the Month over Steve Giroux. They both shot 71, but Omar had 35 on back 9, but Steve had a 36. But Steve wins Net with and net 66. Corey Smith turned in the other card with a net 70. Make sure you turn your good scores in for GOM.

Happy New Year to all!

Haven't seen any of you at the last 9 General Meetings so calling hundreds of names until I got to mine has been very stressful for me, but at least I'm $450 ahead.

Just a quick reminder to remember to renew your membership when it comes due. SCGA should remind you 30 days prior to the due date with an email and for all those whose renewal date is between December 1, 2020 and November 30, 2021 (which is everyone in the Club) the annual dues include a one-time rebate of $30 so you should only be charged $80. If for some reason you renewed on time but were erroneously charged $110 please contact our esteemed Treasurer Bob Livingstone and he'll be glad to reimburse you.

Unfortunately if you forgot to renew in a timely manner you are considered a New Member and will be charged $130. And 50 bucks will still buy at least 4 rolls of toilet paper so pay attention.

2021 is here and we’re anxiously hoping to have a Men’s Club tournament at El Dorado. As your Board of Directors, we have been meeting regularly in an effort to conduct as many events as possible. It’s difficult to anticipate when that will happen and under what restrictions we will be under, but we will be ready to go!

Please keep in mind you must be a current member to participate in our monthly tournaments when we resume. If you are up for renewal, now’s the time to renew at a reduced rate!

To be clear, the 90-day count down (to collect scrip/winnings) has not begun and will not start until monthly meetings resume. Everyone stay safe out there and play Golf!

Year End Notes:

We have $580 in pre paid 2021 expenses for Away Trip Deposits.

The Hole In One Insurance is currently $855 (of which $300 is in the scrip box for use on the day of a Hole In One).

We have approximately 28 previously purchased Club Logoed Shirts available for re-sale at cost.

Since September, we have received $23,010 in new members (less $9,396 in SCGA dues); that $13,614 will go to the 2021 budget.

We will be carrying forward $21,382.01 in funds that were unused in 2020 into 2021, in hopes of resuming normal subsidized activities.

We as a Board are doing everything possible to get our members some kind of tournament, but we are having no luck with our home tournaments with the City not allowing any gatherings. We had an away tournament to Redhawk with a good turnout of 48 players. We still have Golfer of the Month each month, so if you shot a good round make sure to turn your card in to the Pro Shop.

We are keeping are fingers crossed, hoping to have a tournament as soon as April but feel confident we well have one in May. We are working on a ways to pay online as we have no idea when we can have a general meeting.

Congratulations to Steve Cook for putting together our 1st Men’s Club tournament of 2021 at Redhawk in Temecula. Great turnout, beautiful day and a reminder of my love/hate relationship with that golf course!

I’m anxious to have a home tournament as soon as the city/county/state (pick your level of frustration) Health Department allows.

Ok, here we go, the 2021 season has begun with the first away tournament @ Redhawk. I think everything went well with no reported injuries or arrests! We had good weather & decent course conditions. For those who attended please send me any feedback, good or bad. Results will be out soon and this round will qualify for the first event of the coveted "Little Brown Jug" competition.

Next up we have Goose Creek on Sunday, March 28th followed by the Weekender @ San Vicente the weekend of April 9-10-11 (Masters Weekend). The "optional" Friday event will be at Mt. Woodson which is only about 20 minutes from San Vicente. Details & sign-ups will be on the Eldo Website soon.

Well, if you watched the Farmers Insurance Open, you got to see a little bruhaha involving Patrick Reed and an embedded ball! As part of the Rules of Golf changes in 2019, some things changed about embedded ball (as well as ball that is cut or cracked, which with today's ball has become very uncommon). In the past, if someone wanted to check a ball for any of those things, he or she had to offer their marker or a fellow competitor the ability to watch the process and inspect the ball.

Now, however, under Rule 16.4, a player can lift his or her ball to check those things so long as there is a reasonable belief that the ball could be embedded or cut or cracked. Since the ball Reed hit left on #10 was a high shot that he could not see bounce, and since the volunteer who had marked its position with an irrigation flag responded to a question from him that she had not seen the ball bounce (remember, neither Reed nor the volunteer was watching the CBS telecast) he had a reasonable belief that the ball could have been embedded.

Based on that reasonable possibility, he yelled to his two fellow competitors that he was going to check if it was embedded. He marked the position of the ball (which you must do anytime the ball could have to be replaced on a spot) and lifted it to check the lie. He believed a part of the ball was "below the level of the ground" but wasn't sure, so he called for an official to verify that he was entitled to relief. The official verified this, determined Reed's relief area - which for an embedded ball is a spot directly behind the embed mark and then one club length in any direction not nearer the hole - and dropped the ball. All good!

Read Rule 16.3 and take a look at Diagram 16.3a to understand when a ball is embedded.

Hi Guys,

Hope this letter finds everybody healthy and safe, getting your Covid shot when they become available.

We are hearing some promising news from the city, they are allowing youth sports to start playing. So we are preparing in anticipation of having a tournament in April on the 18th, so save the date and wait for further info from the tournament chairman.

We are having a couple away trips, one this month at Goose Creek and the Weekender at San Vicente on first part of April.

If you have a good round at El Dorado, and you played from at least the white tees and with another member of the Club, turn in a GOM card! You need to have your name, your GHIN Number, the date and the tees you played, your 6 month Low Index (which can be found on the Club Website) and whether you want to win Net, Gross or "either" listed on the scorecard.

The card must be signed by you and another member of the Club who played with you. Have the starter place the completed card in the Men's Club Drawer in the Golf Shop.

We hope that the County and City will lift the prohibition on group play in early March. In anticipation of that, we are planning to have the Golfer of the Year Tournament on Sunday, March 21. If you won a GOM last year you should have received an email from Bob Livingstone to sign up for this; the Club picks up the greens fees for this event. If you did not get that email, let him or me know.

This marks the 12th consecutive month we will not have a men’s club home tournament. Pretty sad. Hoping on (but not counting on) a return to tournament golf soon. We are prepared to have a home tournament as soon as the county and city allow. Covid-19 restrictions aside, we’ve now hear concerns that tournaments would further burden already busy golf courses.

February we got our first away tournament in the books in over 12 months, a big thank you to Mr. Cook for a great job in getting us out there. I have all the winnings (RedHawk) that have not been passed out yet, I will be emailing those of you still waiting to collect. With any luck we can get a tournament in at El Do with in the next couple of months, fingers crossed.

Now that we have one event under our belts it's time to focus on Goose Creek. This event is full with 40 players. Currently we have 3 on the waiting list. Goose Creek would not give us any more tee times, sorry! First I want to apologize for not providing clear instructions on signing up for away tournaments online. I will try to clear it up here.

1. ALL players need to sign up online (some are having trouble logging on). Please try a couple times & if it still doesn't work let me know.

2. Use the special request space to tell me who you're playing with or anything else I need to know.

3. San Vicente is filling up fast. You need to sign up by March 12th to guarantee a spot and a room. After that I need to release the un-booked rooms back to SV.

4. Mt. Woodson - Friday, April 9th. This is the "optional" event for the Weekender.

It is open to all members whether you are going to the Weekender @ San Vicente or not! Format is still to be determined based on participation.

5. The next 2 events "The Golf Club @ Rancho California" & "Soboba" are booked for 60 players.

Hope everyone is getting or has gotten their Covid vaccine.

Looks like golf is coming back. We have had 2 away tournaments and are having our 1st home tournament this month. Steve Cook has been doing a great job with our away tournaments. Don Didier has our 1st home tournament already booked and the payments are due by the 3rd of this month. The Board has been working hard to try and get as much golf for our members as possible.

We are having our Weekender at San Vicente early this month. Steve has been really busy this month!

Once again there are no Meeting Minutes to report because we had no meeting. Maybe with warm weather and more daylight hours, and if restrictions continue to loosen if no surge occurs, we'll be able to get together one of these months.

Rest assured the the absence of a meeting didn't prevent the awarding of the "$50 if your name is called " part of the meeting that I know everyone looks forward to. And once again I ran through quite a few names before getting to mine. That's 12 months in a row now.

What are all you guys doing - isn't anyone playing some good golf? We only had one card turned in for Golfer of the Month (GOM) in March.

Congratulations to Taylor Cameron for his 70 gross...Taylor has been really playing well and his handicap is showing it!

As a reminder, if you play El Dorado from at least the white tees, putt 'em all out, and play with another member, you can turn in a Golfer of the Month (GOM) card in the drawer in the Golf Shop. Put your name, the date, your GHIN number, whether you would like to be considered for Gross, Net or either award and list your 6 Month Low Index (LI), which can be found on the Eldo Website under the Handicaps tab on the top blue menu bar. Each month's winner receives a plaque, a paid invite to the Golfer of the Year Tournament (usually played in March of the following year) and of course either tremendous adulation or pointed disdain from your fellow members!

Speaking of Golfer of the Year, we were able to invite all of the 2020 GOM winners to play a complimentary round on March 21st. Dave Rubin's 70 helped him coast to a win as Gross GOY and Brian Dauk had a brilliant back nine to win Net GOY with a net 70. Good playing, guys!

Gentlemen,

April 18th is our return of El Dorado Men’s Club Monthly Tournaments! A big thanks to the vast majority of members who signed up thru the website and submitted your fees in a timely manner. Until we return to having General Membership Monthly Meetings, monthly tournament sign-ups will be done thru the website. By the way, hats off to our webmaster, Mark Miller! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Member-Member Tournament will be a two-day event, May 22 & 23. Find yourself a partner and enjoy two days of a fun golf! This event is normally preceded by a Friday night Pairings Party, but with restrictions still in place, that is highly unlikely.

Sign ups for the Member-Member Tournament will start in a couple of weeks. Email notification will be sent when sign-ups are open.

Hey there everyone, it's so nice to report that our Special Events for our April Tournament will be: Honey Pot (net 69 or better) & North of Willow (holes 4,5,6 & 7). Its is going to seem a little different with only foursomes, but really looking forward to getting out there on our home course. Let's have some fun.

If you're still looking to collect past winnings, look me up.

I play at El Do most every Wednesday and Saturday, usually finishing my rounds at 12:30/1:00’ish and I can meet with you, in addition I work there Tuesday and Thursday filling divots from 9:00 to 12:00. So if anyone wants to make arrangements with me a day or so ahead of time I can bring your winnings and meet you at El Do.

If these days and times don’t meet your schedule I understand and want you to understand there is no time line in place that you have to pick these winning up by a certain date, once we get back in the swing of having meetings I will announce when the 90 window will start again.

Sorry, not very entertaining, but short, sweet & to the point.

Goose Creek has come & gone. Results are posted. Kinda hot out there but I think most of us had a good time. The course was in great condition. I have sent an email to book this course again next year.

The Weekender @ San Vicente is here and we have 44 members playing. The club is buying lot's of booze so this should be entertaining!

Signups are open for Rancho California. We have room for 60 Players.

You may have seen the awkward situation between Dustin Johnson and Kevin Na at the Dell Match Play. The situation was that DJ had putted up to about 6 inches and thought he heard Kevin say the remaining kick-in was good, so he batted it away. The issue was that Kevin had not verbally conceded the putt!

Rather than fret over that while putting his own 2 and 1/2 footer, Kevin called DJ over and said he hadn't given him the little putt before he batted it away, but he was getting ready to give it to him, so it wasn't a huge deal. Is that kosher or should Kevin have claimed that DJ had missed a stroke that hadn't been conceded?

The key to answering this is that Dustin thought he had actually heard Kevin give him the putt...since that was Kevin's plan, the point was settled and they went on to finish the match. If Dustin felt he heard the concession and Kevin wasn't planning to give it to him, he would have to replace the ball without penalty and make the putt.

HOWEVER...if Dustin had not felt he heard Kevin concede the putt and just whacked it away, Kevin would have to require that DJ replace the ball with a 1-shot penalty for moving a ball in play and putt out. In the potential scenario of DJ not hearing or thinking he heard a concession, if Kevin just said no biggie and gave him the batted ball, both of them would have been disqualified for agreeing to the ignore the Rules.

The bottom line? In match play be very clear about both giving putts or being sure you heard your opponent make that concession. Good luck to Thursday Team Play the rest of this year, and watch those concessions!

The Weekender @ San Vicente is now history. You should have been there! Let me start by thanking everyone for making this a fun weekend.

First, the Ladies for everything they did to help and for adding some class to this band of misfits! Second, the BOD members for all their support and help to make sure I didn't screw things up too bad! And finally the members, what a great group, I hope you all had fun. Sorry for the delay on results, they will be posted semi-soon. We paid 15 out of 22 teams so if you didn't cash, I'm sorry.

Moving on, Rancho California was cancelled due to lack of interest. Not sure why, timing, bad reviews or what but I won't put it on next years schedule.

Soboba sign-ups are now open & we have room for 60. Hopefully this one fills up fast. That's all folks!

Entries for the Flights Championship are almost ready to be taken! A note will be sent to all members advising on the Championship to be single elimination Match play format. Your $20 entry fee will be due to me ASAP. You can place $20 in cash or a $20 check made payable to “Mike Vaughn” in the Men’s Club drawer in the Pro-Shop in an envelope noted Flights entry / Mike Vaughn. You can also mail the check to my home address 320 Magpie Lane, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. That address is also noted on the mass email sent to all prospective participants. Also, you can pay me if you see me at El Dorado or at the June or July home tournaments. All entry money will create the prize pool.

What's up EldoNation!

Another month has gone by and it looks like restrictions are getting lighter at the golf course. So that means more golf and more chances to turn in score cards for Golfer of the Month.

Last month for April, we had only four cards turned in and all of them were from the April tournament. As a reminder, GOM is from scores posted at El Dorado. Cards must be dated, signed by yourself and another Eldo member that played with you that day. Make sure you write your full name and GHIN number on the card. GOM will use your 6 month LI and will be verified. No cards are accepted from Away Tournaments or Sunday golf with the kids at Little Rec.

So with that said, Tom Seidel had a nice 74 gross and 65 Net....but at San Vicente. Sorry Tom but a nice round! Our Gross GOM had two gentlemen shooting 72. Gene Milner and CJ Triola. The card off goes to Gene shooting 36 versus CJ’s 37 on the back nine. Our net winner goes to Jason Brendle with a net 64. Brent Huntington was the next closest at net 68. Again congrats to Gene and Jason for being our April Golfers of the Month! Remember to turn in those cards!

April 18th 1 Gross/2 Net, our 1st tournament since March 2020, is in the books! The 1 Gross/2 Net format proved a bit tougher with foursomes rather than our usual fivesomes. Pace of play was excellent! Even our final group (#42) finished in 4-1/2 hours. Well done!

A Flight winners (Net 210) Ketan Dhawan, Brit Reiner, Jason Brendle, and Andrew Cochrane were lead by Jason’s career low round of Net 62! Don Marmion, Mark Ziegenhagen, Mickey Miller, and Lawrence Darlak tied for 2nd (Net 212) with Justin Vanderbroek, David Rubin, Omar Diaz, and Matt Huntington.

Michael Dugan, John Jameson, Cj Triola, and Dennis Cartwright won B Flight in a card-off (Net 212) against Chris Plumridge, Sebastian Sturdevant, Kevin Mehlbrech, and Sheldon Drantch. In 3rd Place, 5 shots back (Net 217), we had the group of Wally Huntington, Brent Huntington, John Hasselman, and Drew Kroner.

C Flight was a runaway (Net 213) by Mark Schmillen, Mike Filbey, Terry Fletcher, and Tom Turner. 8 shots back, 2nd Place, was the group of Darryl Lee, Lloyd Lee, Dave Garcia, and Greg Sharp. Another shot back in 3rd Place we had Mel Collins, Terry Fulford, Raymond Cousins, and Lee McCullough.

Our next tournament will be May 22 & 23 Member-Member. This is one of our bigger events so find yourself a partner! Online Sign Up is going strong. We have 105 registered as of this posting. If you want to play and don’t have a partner, Sign Up through the website and I will pair you up!

Two Man Teams
Flighted: A Flight, B Flight, C Flight and “Gap 8”. You are welcome to play with any member, but if your handicap spread is 8 or more, the team is automatically in the “Gap 8” Flight.

Saturday: Two Man Best Ball: Blue Tees, Handicap will be 90% of your 6 Month LI

Sunday: Two Man Aggregate (Count them All): White Tees, Handicap will be your 6 Month LI

Well we finally did it - our first Home Tournament in over a year and I must say VP Don Didier did a great job in putting things in place for a successful first time back!! Well done.

Special Event results have been posted; here are a couple observations.

A Flight: Did a pretty job with 3 different Eagles for Skins worth $125 each along with the lone Birdie; if Chris Martin would have entered (SE) they would have been worth $25 less so Chris is our first No Balls Award winner of 2021. Don’t worry Chris, there are more participants waiting to join you!

B Flight: Well lets start off with our VP of Tournaments Don Didier with a fine showing of 2 skins for a nice $160, not quite good enough as Dewayne Kirksey took a skin plus Honey Pot for a $163 total - great job guys. Well those skins were worth a little more because Brian Redican (our 2nd No Balls Award recipient) didn’t enter SE. Lets not forget to mention Kerry Bryan did not enter North of Willow and could have been $30 richer but instead he gets the No Balls Award! Maybe next time.

C Flight: Had lots of skins to split up, 7 overall Birdies on 2,7,9,10,11,12 & 13; way to spread the winnings around, there were no NBA winners for C flight skins. However SE Honey Pot had Sheldon Drantch & Matt Lesenyie both win No Balls Awards as they did not enter this event. Maybe next time? Moving on to the North of Willow, Jack Witherspoon, Matt Lesenyie (his 2nd award this month) & Dan Cormack all earned wards this month.

Matt and Don will be running the Club Championship tournament in June. The dates for this are 6/19, 6/26, and 6/27. Each participant will need to sign up for the June Blind Draw tournament on 6/19 to be able to play in the Club Championship the following weekend.

Well, finally we are going to be able to have a Member Meeting on July 13th in the big tent. We now have sand bottles on carts and rakes in the bunkers, you are also able to remove the flagstick again if you wish...Omar talks more about this in his article. Seems like we are getting a little closer to being back to normal.

Well, we still don't have any minutes from a General Meeting, but that could change in July, as it looks like we will be allowed to have a Membership Meeting on July 13th. If we do, the Board has approved having two winners for the $50 Membership Drawing for those in attendance (well, as I have been promising, it is highly likely that my name will be drawn first, but if it is, at least one other attendee at the meeting will still win $50!).

Hope to see some of you new members at the meeting, which will begin at 7:00 under the Big Tent.

Congratulations to the winner of the May Net Golfer of the Month (GOM), Jeff Bennedetti, who shot a 74, less his 6-Month LI of 10, for a very impressive net 64. Your 6-Month LI (Low Index) can be found on the front page of the Club's website in the little black personalized box. There were no gross cards turned in last month for GOM. Well, I don't think there were, but one card was turned in with no name on it (hey Webmaster can we get the head slap emoji for something like this?). Just kidding!

As a reminder, if you think you may have shot the best net or gross score of any member at El Dorado in a given month, turn in a GOM card! It doesn't have to be in a Club-sponsored event, it just has to have been played at Eldo, from at least the white tees and have been played with another member of the Men's Club. The card needs to include:

Your name
The date the round was played
The tees you played
Your GHIN number
Your 6-Month LI (if for net consideration)
Signatures from you and the member with whom you played

Put the scorecard into the drawer in the Pro Shop and indicate if you want to be considered for net or gross (or whichever you mighty win) and I collect them at the end of each month.

We are hopeful that we will be allowed to have our first Membership Meeting in a long time on Tuesday, July 13th. If we do, I encourage all of our new members to attend and get a feel for how we operate your Club - arguably the most active and organized men's club in the SCGA.

One of the things we do at our monthly meetings is to have any new members introduce themselves, tell the other members about their profession and what their handicap is (then we usually give them a little friendly ribbing about that). Then we take all the new members aside and give them some of the practices the Club follows like how to sign up for our popular and crowded tournaments and away trips, how our Golfer of the Month awards work, our Hole In One insurance, and more.

If you are a new member and can attend, we would love to meet you and welcome you into the Club and chat about how you can be involved.

I will be running the 2021 Club Championship. We will have a Championship (scratch) Flight and if there are enough entries, two net or handicap flights based on each player's 6-Month Low Index. The first round is the June Tournament on June 19 and the final 2 rounds will be the following weekend, June 26-27.

In order to play in the gross or net Club Championships, you must be entered in the June Blind Draw Tournament on June 19th and also enter the Club Championship. You enter each of these by going to the Member Portal found in the upper left box on the Club Website that shows your current and 6 Month Low Index. Your member ID is the club email we have for you and the password is your GHIN number.

Your first round time will be determined by our Tournament Chairman's priority draw for starting times for each group, and the following week, the times will start around 8AM.

The Member-Member Tournament was a great success! Generally speaking, our membership has become pretty adapt at using our online Sign Ups and payment methods. Big shout out to our webmaster, Mark Miller!

There was some very good golf played over the 2 day event. Doug Jones and Mel Collins shot an even par 216 to win A Flight Gross by 4 shots over Nick Mardesich and Michael Peterson. Bob Livingstone rode Noah Busch to an A Flight Net victory (Net 217) by one shot over Aaron Debreceni and Mark Baldwin.

B Flight was dominated by Tom Seidl and Greg Marks firing a Net 210 to win by 2 shots over Michael Appy and Mark Bernardini. Brad Wilcox and Clark Izu were another 5 shots back in 3rd.

Kerry Bryan and Michael Collins took 1st in C Flight with a Net 218. Kyle Day and Lance Breedlove were 2 shots back in 2nd followed by Kevin Irvine and Matt Lesenyie in third at Net 222.

Gap 8 Flight had Brett Latzsch and Paul Yoon winning a card-off over Pingo Zamarripa and Henry DeGraaff (Net 215). Mark Schmillen and Mike Filbey tied for 3rd (net 219) with Andrew Pulido and Steven Sterry.

June 19th is our Partner Best Ball Blind Draw Tournament as well as the 1st round of our Club Championship. If you have not Signed Up for the Blind Draw, please do so ASAP. Players can play with your usual groups and we will handle a random Blind Draw thru our scoring system. Tournament will be flighted using combined handicaps. If you are playing in the Club Championship, a separate scorecard will be issued. To avoid confusion, all putts must be holed in this tournament!

Club Championship Sign Up is currently open. If you have not done so, Sign Up ASAP. 2nd and 3rd rounds of Club Championship will be played June 26 & 27.

Sign Ups for July 17th Red-White-Blue Tournament will open on June 8th.

Well I hope everyone had as good a time as I did at our 2021 Member/Member tournament, well done Don! What a great format, can’t wait to do it again. Special Events had some very interesting results with some pretty good payouts as well.

Lets start off with Saturdays event’s, Up Livy’s Creek had 11 winners out of 129 entries ($58 ea).

Hole #9 (In the Circle/On the Green) A Flight had two sharp shooters: Tom Retterath and Mike Villarreal with nice shots and $130 ea. B Flight only had one winner: Terry Cormack $215. Kyle Sharp did put his name on the sheet but forgot to enter the event so you do win the “No Balls Award” though; maybe next time Kyle. C Flight had three winners hit the green for $56ea: Greg Ramsey, Craig Gantz & John Darnell. Kerry Bryan also hit the green and put his name on the sheet but forgot to enter the event, you also win another “No Balls Award”.

On June 1st, the Long Beach Health and Human Services Department updated the "Golf Course Re-Opening Protocols" which allowed the return of rakes, sand bottles, touching flagsticks and double rider carts (if both riders have been vaccinated). Hallelujah! For our Club, this means that we will no longer be operating under two temporary Local Rules brought on by COVID.

Going forward, we may again touch flagsticks and choose to remove them for putts or chips...under the Rules of Golf, we may also still choose to leave the flagstick in the hole during a stroke. We will also no longer be using "Lift, Clean and Place" for a ball in bunkers...play them as you find them, guys. As a side note, Sung and Marc have asked for money to get some desperately needed new sand for some of the bunkers. We don't know when that may be approved, but likely not before the Club Championship (have you signed up for that yet?) so I recommend avoiding the bunkers, or playing hard if you get in one!

Well June Blind Draw Partners went off with out any problems thanks to all DD's hard work. I would like to thank Ken Cruz for being my Blind Draw Partner and winning gross in my flight, he drew me to get him in Flight 3 to win gross.

Well we are having our 1st General Meeting in over a year on the 13th of July. We will also be having a putting contest on the putting green next to the tent and a 9 hole tournament before the meeting. For the 9 hole you have to make your own tee time, play with another member and turn your score card in by 6:45. There well be a envelope in the pro shop to put your name on and $5 in for the 9 hole entry fee.

Make sure you come to the Meeting to get preferred tee times in the August Three Best Ball event.

Well it looks like we're finally going to have a General Meeting! For our several dozen new members (and our many dozen forgetful old members) our meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month in the big white tent. So this month that's Tuesday, July 13. Meetings start at 7:00 pm but come early for some serious camaraderie with old friends you haven't seen in 16 months and new friends whom you haven't met yet. A cash bar will be set up in the tent, and Chef Bing will be preparing a Michelin rated buffet style meal at a very reasonable price.

Directors will be giving updates on various Club activities and the ever-popular $50 drawing, expanded this month to two winners among those in attendance, will be held at the conclusion of the meeting.

Hi guys, hope you are enjoying the calm early summer weather.

We are going to be able to hold a General Meeting this month, the second Tuesday of the month, July 13 at 7:00 pm under the tent! I will also set up a Putting Contest! Be sure to get to the meeting early and bring your putter. Action will start at or about 5:15 and end NLT 6:45 pm on the south green. As noted in past years I do not like denying anyone a chance due to it being almost time for the meeting so it is up to you to arrive early enough to make your rounds.

We are in process of taking entries for the Flights Championship, but with the COVID in remission people are not so gung ho to get in. As of today we do not have enough entrants to fill (3) Flights. The Match play competition is set to begin August 1. If you want to play you need to let me know ASAP at my email mike.v@verizon.net and send your $20 entry fee to me at my home, 320 Magpie Lane, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. We have had five (5) full Brackets, 80 players the last several years. Flights tee times have been reserved through Championship Saturday November 20. Players will be kept updated through group emails. This is a great tournament as it is all up to you playing heads up against your opponent.

Welcome to another month of sunshine, warm weather and long days of summer. That means lots of great golf! Last month we had our Club Championships so lots of good scores were passed into the Men's Club box in the Pro Shop. We had 8 total cards turned in for Gross and Net GOM. Remember tournaments count for GOM cards.

For our Gross GOM, we had three identical scores of 69. They all had the same front nine of 34 and back nine of 35. So the tie breaker comes down to total score of last 6 holes. Congrats to Dave Rubin who scored a total of 23 for those last 6 holes. Vern Followell (24) and Sonny Nimkhum (25) were very close. Also congrats to Sonny for winning the Club Championship.

For our Net GOM, there were some close ones as well. Congrats to Colin Boylan, who shot gross 72 and net 6 from the Blue Tees, netted a smooth 66. Honorable mention goes to Jeff Tanner and Frank Adinolfi with net 67's. Close but no cigar!

Remember to include Name, GHIN number, date played and what tees you played from that day on the card. Also signatures from you and your Eldo member. Please turn into Men's Club scorecards box in the Pro Shop.

This month, we will start 9 hole tournament on day of Meeting. There is a sheet in the Pro Shop. Include $5 and get a shot of the winnings for the day. The Men's Club throws in an additional $50. So Good Luck and hit them straight!

The Mark Baldwin/Mike Peterson Blind Draw carded a 64 to win Gross in Flight 1. Bob Livingstone/Sebastian Sturdevant paired up to take 1st Place Net with a 62.

Flight 2 Gross honors go to Jake Amado/Jeff DeGraaff with a 71. Bret Holloway/Jeff Tanner paired up to win 1st Place Net at 65.

Flight 3 Gross honors go to Ken Cruz/Terry Fulford with a 72. Tony Glorioso/Matt Lesenyle paired up to win 1st Place Net at 61.

Flight 4 Gross honors go to Philip Friess/Walter Lee with a 77. James Coates/Tom Conlisk paired up to win 1st Place Net at 59.

Next up will be our July Red-White-Blue Tournament on July 17th. If you haven’t done so, Sign Up thru the Member Portal on the website. When doing so, be sure to select Special Events if you so desire.

Well the 2021 Blind Draw is in the books, good time was had by all! Special Events break down goes like this:

First 3 Last 3 had 11 winners for $64 ea., 5 winners in A Flight, 4 winners in B Flight and 2 winners in C Flight, well done guys!

A Flight had 8 winners in the Circle on #12, there were 3 Skins, Bradley Wyatt Eagle #8, Mike Burka Birdie #17 & Mike Villarreal Eagle #7 paid out $166 ea. that's because Jake Amado didn’t get in Special Events and missed skins on #1 with the lone Birdie & #4 with the lone Eagle. For that Jake has earns the No Balls Award for June, don’t worry Jake you're not alone!

B Flight had 2 names on the card for in the Circle on #12 but only one of them had entered SE; Rich Gilmore long time member forgot to enter SE (I am pretty sure this will never happen again to Rich). With this being said, Eric Miller took home $255 for the only in the Circle. Eric, I think Rich needs a drink! Skins we paid out 5 birdies for $100 ea., Brian Redican on #5 & #18, Dewayne Kirksey on #7, Terry Cormack on #17, Aaron Debreceni on #6, Oops - Rich Gilmore would have won #12 if he had entered, Mr. Gilmore was our No Balls Winner in B Flight!

C Flight 5 winners for On The Green #12, Jeff Tanner, Jim Coates, Lance Breedlove Dwight Summers & Ian Thomas. Jerome Hodge did write his name on the card but forgot to enter SE, so Jerome earns the No Balls Award for not entering. He is not alone, as Michael Collins earned a No Balls Award too. Michael would have won First 3 Last 3 had he entered SE. Two skin winners, nice Birdies from Matt Lesenyie on #15 and John Rogers on #2, good job!

Well summer is here and it's getting hot! What's not hot is the interest & participation in the away tournaments this year! I have only 7 players currently signed up for San Juan Hills. I need your help to make these events better suit the majority membership of this great Club. I have already started looking for locations for the 2022 season. The cost of golf has gone up everywhere. I would really like your feedback & suggestions. We had two unfortunate situations in the recently completed Club Championship.

In the first round, a player signed for a higher score on one hole than he had actually made (the higher score stands - had he signed for a lower score than he actually made, he would have been Disqualified). In the final round, a former winner submitted his scorecard into the Scorecard Box inside the Bar/Scoring area, but he had forgotten to sign his card. While it can be impersonal, "The Box" serves a purpose, as it is "the point of no return" for making corrections to a scorecard.

While it is harsh, we simply do not have the manpower to conduct a scoring area like those found at Tour events or the US Open - so we have "The Box" which is your reminder to ensure that you have checked your scorecard for completeness and accuracy.

We had our 1st General Meeting in over a year, I thought we would have had a larger turn out. Maybe people are still a little leery. Hopefully we can continue to have a meeting next month, they might make us wear masks at the August meeting if they don't close us down again.

We had a good turn out for last months RWB and everybody seemed to keep up with the group in front of them. I think the last group finished in 4 1/2 hours, good job guys. Next month we have our 3 Best Ball which is going to be a little harder with only 4 players.

I am running the Senior Club Championship on August 28th and 29th so get signed up asap if you want to play. Entrees close on August 23rd.

JULY 2021 MEETING MINUTES

On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, for the first time in 16 months the monthly meeting of the El Dorado Park Men’s Golf Club was held in the Big White Tent. The Welcome Back pre-meeting dinner included salad, meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and cookies for desert. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Terry Fulford who led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were approximately 75 members in attendance including Past Presidents Mike Montgomery, Richard Scoville, Cliff Aichele, Dennis Tramer, Nick Zamora, Terry Fulford (he was President before too) and (Life Member) Bob Livingstone. New Members Jack Witherspoon, Eric Miller (son of Mike Miller), Tom Choi, Rich Koskela and Ron Searcy introduced themselves, gave us a little info about themselves, and were given the New Member Spiel by Cliff Aichele.

Secretary Kuehn (that good looking slightly balding guy) then proposed two motions to be voted on: one, to approve all of the Board’s actions that have been listed electronically in the newsletter since April 2020, specifically to approve the nomination process and the appointment of officers of the Club for 2020; and two, to approve the Treasurer’s Reports that have been submitted in the Newsletter since April 2020. Both motions were seconded and unanimously approved.

President Fulford announced that he would be running the Senior Club Championship on August 28-29. Cost will be $115 ( $118 if paying by credit card) and is due no later than August 23. Contact Terry if you have any questions. Terry also announced that the Club Champion for the year is Sonny Nimkhum. Good job Sonny!

Directors’ Reports were as follow:

Director Mike Montgomery announced that he would be hanging out at the first tee for several months due to some shoulder issues, so be sure to be ready when it’s your time to tee off or you might end up with a very undesirable tee time next month. Mike also requested a moment of silence in honor of Greg O’Brien and Don Bellamy, both of whom passed away since our last meeting.

Director Omar Diaz, our Rules Guru, discussed various rules specific to Match Play as our Flights Championship is about to begin. He specifically noted that if there is a question it must be resolved at the time – you can’t play two balls and get a ruling afterward. If you have a question during a match, contact Omar or Bob Livingstone.

Director Mike Vaughn announced the results of the first putting contest in 16 months. Tying for second were Todd Thiele, Cliff Aichele and Brian Dauk. First place went to Bret Holloway and Tim Mincarelli. Mike also noted that he only had 32 members signed up for the Match Play Tournament, half of last year’s entrants. Come on you Slackers! Call Mike and sign up now!

Director and Entertainment Chairman Steve Cook noted that the San Juan Hills Away Tournament is set for July 31 and there are still plenty of spots available. Steve then asked the membership what he could do to get more guys playing in the Away Tournaments and what would be attractive as a Weekender for next year. Please contact Steve if you have any thoughts on these matters.

Director Bob Livingstone announced that the Pre-Meeting 9-Hole Tournament was won by Henry DeGraaf, with Wally Gordon finishing second and Andrew Pulido third. GOM winners for the past three months include Gene Milner (Gross) and Jason Brendle (Net) for April; Jeff Benedetti (Net) for May – no gross winner: and Colin Boylan (Net) and Dave Rubin (Gross) for June.

Director/Past President Cliff Aichele noted that there was a lot of money in the Hole-in-One Fund so be sure to give Cliff $5 if you’re not already in.

Vice President/Tournament Chairman Don Didier discussed results of the June Tournament and explained the format for July’s Red-White-Blue Tournament. Holes with red flags will count 3 scores, holes with white flags 2 scores and holes with blue flags 1 score. We’ll be using the Combo Tees and there are 166 players signed up.

Director/Handicap Chairman Nick Zamora discussed the relatively new “Net Double Bogey” scoring system for recording scores, and reminded everyone how important it is to post your scores. He also noted that rules specific to our tournaments will be spelled out on the back of the scorecard. Call Nick if you have any handicap questions.

Special Events Director Brad Wilcox discussed results of the June Tournament. For July the events will be Gross Skins, Second shot in the circle on Hole #1, and Closest to the pin on Hole #17.

New Business: We are changing the priority for tee times at the tournaments. You still sign up to play and pay on line but first priority for tee times will be given to those members who attend the meeting. Remaining times will be randomly drawn for those playing but not attending the meeting.

We plan to hold the August General Meeting as scheduled on August 10 in the big white tent. If that changes due to State/County/City/Golf Course issues, we'll let you know.

Also a special thanks to Mark Miller, our Webmaster, for all the hard work he has put in to help keep us functioning during the past very difficult 16 months.

Old Business : There was no Old Business.

The July Putting Contest was our first in 2 years! It was an Aces Only format. July winner was Bret Holloway with (4) Aces. Todd Thiele, Cliff Aichele, Brian Dauk and Tim Mincarelli tied for 2nd with making (3) Aces each. The August putting tournament will again be held on meeting night starting at or near 5:15 pm on the south green. Be sure to get there to participate. This is a good way to sharpen you flat stick skills.

The Flights Championship Match Play has 80 signed participants! The Brackets and supporting documents were distributed to the players this week. The August match is to be played between August 1 and August 31.

Reserved Match Play times have been secured for Saturday and Sunday morning beginning in August and continuing through Championship Saturday, November 20. Players can secure these times from me. Dates and Times for August have been sent to all participants on the Brackets email. Reserved times not filled must be released back to American Golf on the Wednesday of the week of your match. More details on the Flight Championships will follow in group emails to the participants. We will see what sort of restrictions LA County will be putting us under with this new outbreak of another virus as well as COVID-19. Enjoy this exciting heads up competition.

Hello fellow members!

This month of July gave us some more activities in the club. We welcomed our first group meeting, 9 hole tournament, putting tournament and another great monthly with the Red, White and Blue.

Remember on the day of our monthly meetings we have a 9 hole tournament. ITS VERY SIMPLE. When you check in for your time, make sure you have $5 cash and fill your name out on the sheet with handicap index/number. At the end of round turn in your score card signed and dated with tees that you played. That's it! Then show up to meeting and collect your prize fund. For our first 9 Hole tournament, we had some good scores. Henry deGraaff (net 32) 50 duckets, Wally Gordon (net 34) 40 duckets, Andrew Pulido (net 35) 25 duckets and Tom Turner (net 35.5) 15 duckets. Thanks for playing and remember the club throws in $50 extra for prize fund.

For July GOM, we had a few cards turned in the box. Our GROSS GOM was Andrew Cochrane with a nice 70! Honorable mention to Nick Delia with a 74.
Our NET GOM goes to Timothy Hodge with a net 67. Honorable mention goes to Wally Gordon who turned in two cards with nets of 68 and 69. Keep grinding Wally!

On a side note, Last month had a mistake for Gross GOM. Dave Rubin was presented as winner. But Dave had already won in January. So the 2nd place winner Vern Followell receives the honor. Thanks to Dave Hasslemen for pointing out that you can only win once. My Rookie mistake. So Congrats Vern...trophy in the mail! Please continue to turn in your cards and see you at the next meeting!

July’s Red-White-Blue Waltz was a really good tournament and marked the first tournament where we had a Sign-In Table. Good to see all the old and new members! Pace of Play was great! I believe the final group made it around in just over 4-1/2 hrs.

No-Shows: Tournaments are always a bit dynamic, things changing all the way up to Tournament day. We can accommodate most situations, but not showing up is not fair to your playing partners and costs the club greens fees. Our Policy for not making a Tournament Tee Time is 48 hours notification and we will almost always refund regardless of reason. Anything after 48 hours we only refund for an emergency or if we fill the spot the day of. You are responsible to cover greens fees before you can enter another tournament.

September 18-19 is our Partner-Partner Tournament. This is a really fun tournament with different formats for each 9 holes with Sweeps and Special Events both days. Saturday starts off with you and your partner playing Blue Tees in a 2 Man Scramble on the front nine and Cross-Over on the back nine. The Tramer Handicap System will be utilized. Sunday is Combo Tees, 90% of current handicap playing Best Ball on the front nine and Count ‘em All (Aggregate) on the back nine. Sign Ups for This tournament coming soon!

We had our Senior Club Championship last weekend on the 28th and 29th of August. We had a pretty good turnout of 36 players, I was hoping for more but we had some late cancellations.

We had a new member winning the Champion Flight, Ken Cruz with a nice even par 144. Coming in 2nd was Omar Diaz who slipped a little in the 1st round but shot even par in the 2nd round for a 149. Our B Flight winner was Clark Izu with a great 8 under par 136, coming in 2nd was Bryan Knigge at 139. Our C Flight winner was Henry deGraaff with a nice 146, coming in tied for 2nd was Kerry Bryan and Sheldon Drantch at 147.

I will have trophies and prize fund to hand out at the September 14th Meeting.

Hope everybody has entered the Partner/ Partner as this is a fun format.

AUGUST 2021 MEETING MINUTES

On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, the monthly meeting of the El Dorado Park Men’s Golf Club was held in the Big White Tent. The pre-meeting dinner included salad, chips, salsa, beans, rice, cheese enchiladas, chicken fajitas and cookies for desert. At a pre-pandemic price of only $7 this is a heck of a deal.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Terry Fulford who led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were approximately 85 members in attendance including Past Presidents Mike Montgomery, Nick Zamora, Tom Retterath, Terry Fulford (he was President before too) and (Life Member) Bob Livingstone. The previous month’s Meeting Minutes and Treasurer’s Report were approved. New Members Jason Gonzales, Dave DePina, Sergio Piva, John Torpey, Steve Hampton, Sasha Bozic, Dave Collicutt, Robert Jojola, and Bill Heffern introduced themselves, gave us a little info about themselves, and were given the New Member Spiel by Nick Zamora.

President Fulford announced that he would be running the Senior Club Championship on August 28-29. Cost will be $115 ( $118 if paying by credit card) and is due no later than August 23. Contact Terry if you have any questions.

Director Livingstone gave a special Atta Boy recognition to three long time members who competed in the SCGA Match Play Tournament: Mel Collins, Gene Milner and Jeff Thomas.

Directors’ Reports were as follow:

Director Mike Montgomery announced that he still had several El Dorado Men’s Club golf shirts available for sale. See Mike if you’re interested.

Director Omar Diaz, our Rules Guru, discussed various rules specific to Match Play, specifically that hitting the wrong ball results in loss of the hole. If you have a question during a match, contact Omar.

Director Mike Vaughn was out of town so there was no pre-meeting Putting Competition this month.

Filling in for Director and Entertainment Chairman Steve Cook was Terry Fulford, who noted that results of the San Juan Hills Away Tournament were posted on the web site. This was our last scheduled Away Tournament of the year.

Director Bob Livingstone announced that the Pre-Meeting 9 Hole Tournament had a very good turnout of 32 players and was won by Tom Turner. Because we added the prize fund from the not happening Putting Tournament, we were able to pay 7 places. GOM winners for last month were Tim Hodge with a Net 67 and Andrew Cochrane with a Gross 70.

Vice President/Tournament Chairman Don Didier awarded trophies to our Three Club Champions – Sonny Nimkhum, Greg Marks and Tom Seidl. Congratulations to these three exceptional golfers. Don noted that the pace of play in July was very good – keep up the good work guys. Don iterated that if you’ve signed up and can’t play (for a very good reason, I assume) you must contact Don in a timely manner or you may get stuck for paying green fees for a tournament you didn’t play in. For the August 3 Best Ball Tournament Do Not Post. The Board will post for you. Don then explained the rather complicated format for the September Partner-Partner Tournament.

Director/Handicap Chairman Nick Zamora announced that the Most Improved Golfer from the previous quarter was Mel Collins, who decreased his index from 3.4 to +0.6. This reflects a tremendous improvement at a level that most of us can only dream about. Outstanding Mel!

Special Events Director Brad Wilcox discussed results of the July Tournament, noting that there were significant pay-outs for several events. For August the events will be Gross Skins, Net 70 or Better, and The Middle Six (net par or better on each of holes 7 through 12). Brad noted that the Partner-Partner Tournament is scheduled for September 18 & 19. Brad also reminded us to do our part in helping to keep the course in good shape – repair divots and ball marks, smooth bunkers, etc.

New Business: There was no New Business.

Old Business There was no Old Business.

The $50 Drawing winner was George Manyak and the meeting was adjourned at 7:50.

Hi guys,

We have had a comfortable summer and the course has been in good condition. Credit goes to our course management, with a special “Thank you” to our Superintendent, Marc Lilleberg.

I was out of the state in August so no Putting Contest was held. The format for September has not yet been determined but will try to spice it up to cover for no event in August. Be sure to get to the meeting early and bring your putter. Action will start at or about 5:15 and end NLT 6:45 pm on the south green

The Flights Championships are well underway. Round 1 is complete so we are now down to (40) players. Reserved Saturday and Sunday Flights tee times are set for the Flights through Championship Saturday. Players are kept updated through group emails. This is a great tournament as it is all up to you playing heads up against your opponent. The earlier in the month you play your match the easier it is to manage.

Look forward to seeing everyone on the putting green meeting night next Tuesday. It is great to see so many of you participate.

We had another great month of golf with the 3 Best Ball Tournament, Flight matches and Senior Club Championship. We had some great scores turned in this month for GOM. We had 10 cards turned in with 9 being NET scores and 1 card for GROSS.

Our GROSS GOM for August is Jim Fuchs. He carded a nice even par of 72. Congrats and nice shooting Jim! Our NET GOM was really competitive with some great scores. Our NET GOM for August goes to Tom Seidl. Tom shot a nice 74 in the Senior Club Championship giving him a net 66. We had some honorable mentions that were close but no cigar! Matt Lesenyie net 67, Ron Maden net 68, Mark Ziegenhagen net 68, John Suttie net 68 and Michael Wilson net 69. Nice shooting guys!

As a reminder, please Date, Sign (along with playing member) and what Tees you played from that day. If nothing is indicated, I will assume you played the red tees :-). Also Flight scores will not be accepted for GOM as putts and shots are given in match play. Your 6 month LI is used when turning in card.

Remember our 9 hole tournament before meeting on Sept 14th. Pay $5 to starter, put your name on envelope with current 6 mo. LI. Winners from last month were:

August 3-Best Ball was our biggest tournament this year. We had 45 groups and I played in the last group and finished in 4hrs 20 min. Excellent pace of play gents! We did have a few no-shows including a couple of repeat offenders. As I said before, this is not fair to playing partners nor the field of players. We have incorporated a Tournament Chairman’s “Dog House”. Once a player is confined to the “Pound”, he will not be able to Sign Up for any Tournament until the issue is satisfied between the Tournament Chairman and the individual. Grrrrrr!

August 3 Best Ball is in the books with some real nice scores! Two Field events this month: Net 70 or Better & Middle 6. Net 70 or Better had 18 winners, with a net 59 carded by Rodney Dickerson, nice round Rodney. There would have been 19 winners had Mr. Fuchs entered, but instead gets the No Balls Award, maybe next time Jim. Middle 6 was a little tougher with only 11 winners ($68 ea.), nice job guys!

Skins for A flight had 4 winners Nick Mardesich with a very nice eagle on #2, Mike Appy with a birdie on #14, Ziggy birdies #17 & Pingo eagles #18. B flight Johnny Jimenez birdies #10, Tom Tuner birdies #13 & Dennis Cartwright birdies #14. C flight would have had three winners if Jack Witherspoon would have entered skins but instead earns the No Balls Award, maybe next time Jack! This leaves winners Henry "Money Bags" deGraaff Birdies #1 & Shaun Steenwyk Birdies #5 both earning $200 ea.

I would like to thank those Members of the Club who take the time during their rounds to help make El Dorado look and feel like our home course, whether it's picking up trash, fixing fallen ropes, filling your divots with sand or helping educate golfers who don't know proper golf etiquette. Notes: The Club added $200 to the San Juan Hills Away trip and $298
to the Sr Club Championship. Since there was no August putting
tournament, that subsidy went to the 9-hole. The Club paid the entry
into the SCGA FourBall Qualifier for the top 2 available teams from

Well, we're officially entering into the Fall season even though Mother Nature still thinks its Summer!!!

Last month we had the Partner / Partner and Don did a great job. There were some great scores. Thanks to all players for the pace of play, I think everybody finished in under 4:30 hours.

This month we have the Dreaded Orange Ball Tournament. It's amazing how everybody gets so uptight when it's their turn with the Orange Ball.

Make sure you and your group show up at the October 12th meeting if you want a preferred tee time for the Superintendent's Revenge tournament in November.

2022 Club Elections is just around the corner. If you have any interest in running for an elected office position, please contact Cliff Aichele or any other Board Member to ensure your name gets on the ballot in a timely manner.

Your Board of Directors is open to suggestions on ways to make the club better. If you have a great idea, please let us know.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Terry Fulford who led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were approximately 90 members in attendance including Past Presidents Mike Montgomery, Tom Conlisk, Cliff Aichele, Tom Retterath, Terry Fulford (he was President before too) and (Life Member) Bob Livingstone. The previous month’s Meeting Minutes and Treasurer’s Report were approved. New Member Rodney Dickerson introduced himself and was given the New Member spiel by Past President Aichele. Welcome Rodney!

Director Livingstone informed us that special recognition is due to the teams of Tom Seidl/Greg Marks and Brad Wilcox/Clark Izu who both advanced to the next round of the SCGA Four Ball Net Qualifying Tournament. Way to represent the Club, guys! Livy also noted that Mel Collins was the Most Improved Golfer for the second quarter. Atta boy Mel.

Entertainment Chairman Steve Cook noted that there are no more Away Tournaments scheduled for this year. The Weekender for next year is tentatively set for April 2 and 3 in Las Vegas.

Director Bob Livingstone (filling in for Director Ziegenhagen) announced that the Pre-Meeting 9 Hole Tournament was won by Cary Thomason with Pete Whitehead and Taylor Cameron finishing second and third, respectively. GOM winners for last month were Tom Seidl with a Net 66 and long -time member Jim Fuchs with a Gross 72. Livy, who is Captain of the Thursday Team Play Team, noted that our competition included Los Verdes, Industry Hills and Lakewood. The Saturday Team Play Team, Co-captained by Matt Huntington and Noah Busch, will play Rec Park, Mile Square and Lakewood.

Vice President/Tournament Chairman Don Didier noted that the August Three Best Ball Tournament went well with 45 groups playing. Results are posted on the website. The Partner/Partner Tournament is next up on September 18 & 19.

Director Cliff Aichele reminded us that the election for next year’s officers is coming in November. The Board nominated slate is as follows: President – Terry Fulford; VP/Tournament Chairman – Don Didier; Secretary - Rob Kuehn; and Treasurer – Bob Livingstone. Three members are running for the two Director at Large positions: Mike Vaughn, Larry Lipman and Mark Ziegenhagen.

Special Events Director Brad Wilcox noted that results of the August Tournament are posted online. For the September Partner/Partner Tournament Special Events will be closest to the pin on Holes 3, 9, 12 and 17. The October Tournament is the Dreaded Orange Ball Tournament. Events will include Skins, Orange Ball Skins, and in the Circle/On the Green with the second shot on Hole 15. Brad gave a special attaboy to Wally Gordon and Mel Collins for their ongoing efforts in improving the course (filling divots, fixing ball marks, etc.). We all need to follow their example. Brad also noted that effective immediately green fees for the upcoming tournament must be received not later than the Tuesday before the tournament. If not a late fee of $10 will be assessed. Brad also informed us that on October 1st the course will be increasing green fees by $1 and cart rental fees by $1. Finally, Brad reminded us that in order to be eligible to play in the Christmas Tournament (and the Member/Member and Partner/Partner Tournaments) you must have played in three club events during the year.

Hi guys,

It is nice to be back in southern California. Enjoyed hosting the putting tournament and filled in to fill a foursome in a Flight Match foursome last Saturday. Word of advice, do not let your clubs set for over 5 months without playing.

The putting contest in September was a Count them All. We had four 4-way tie for 2nd shooting 2-under 16 between Brian Dauk, Steve Cook, Corey Smith and Mike Wilson for 25 points each, and a 2-way tie for 1st shooting 3-under 15 between Mel Collins and Cliff Aichele for 50 points each. The October putting contest will be the last event held this year as DST ends on Sunday November 7. Will maybe increase the entry to 2 rounds for $10 to entice the players. Be sure to get to the meeting early and bring your putter. Action will start at or about 5:15 and end NLT 6:45 pm on the south green

The Flights Championships are well underway. Round 2 is all but complete. Reserved Saturday and Sunday Flights tee times are set for the Flights through Championship Saturday. Players are kept updated through group emails. This is a great tournament as it is all up to you playing heads up against your opponent. The earlier in the month you play your match the easier it is to manage.

Look forward to seeing everyone on the putting green meeting night next Tuesday. It is great to see so many of you participate. Let’s cap off 2021 with a great tournament. Maybe we will play in reverse.

It wasn’t a good month for scorecards for GOM. We had only one card turned in for September GOM. We will have no Gross winner this month but we will have one NET winner and that goes to Cameron Tanseco who had a nice Net 68. Congratulations Cameron!

Don’t forget about our monthly 9-hole net game. To be played on day of meeting. Sign up sheet will be with starter. Donate $5 to envelope and turn in card at end of round. Long Time No Write Men's Club, but I hope all of you are doing VERY well!!!! The reason for my Newsletter entry is to talk about Saturday Team Play. As I am the Captain (was last year too, and we went Undefeated!!!! well maybe that's because we didn't play but I am counting it is as an Undefeated Season :) ).

Since we did not have a season in 2021 I have already invited that team back to play in 2022 as it was not anyone's fault that they did not get to play. However we do have some spots open on the team and I have arranged a tryout on October 30th starting at 9 a.m. We only have 4 times so space is limited. The reason for the tryout is to see who understands the concept of match play and Team Play. With all of us having just watched the Ryder Cup and Team USA kick some butt I think Match Play is fresh in our minds in a very positive way. Below I want to discuss some things about our Team as a group and what We are looking for.

Noah Busch is our Assistant Captain, and more importantly a Great Former Captain of the Saturday Team Play . Noah most importantly is the example of what El Do Men's Club wants out of every player as far as Attitude, Integrity, and ability to play the game and play it well. Many years ago El Dorado had some questionable players that did not exhibit those proper attributes and a lot of clubs did not want to play a season with us and that posed a major problem for future Captains. Many Captains before myself laid out the groundwork for our team to be accepted and held in High Regard again and I'd like to thank Terry Fulford, Nick Zamora, Noah Busch, Omar Diaz, and Rich Boyker to name a few, and I hope I can continue this same new tradition. Although Winning is the name of the game and very important, we will not "Win at all costs" so to speak. As a Captain I would much rather lose 48-0 with the other team walking away feeling that they had a great time competing against us and praising how we acted as Men out on that course than win 25-23 and having the other team walk away talking trash about 1 player that acted a fool out on the course. EVERY PLAYER ON THE 2022 TEAM MUST DISPLAY RESPECT FOR: THEMSELVES, THE COURSE, AND EVERY PLAYER THEY COME IN CONTACT WITH NO MATTER WHAT JERSEY THEY ARE WEARING!!!! As we are in a Crazy time with many Hot button issues that can cause much Anger, Hostility, and Hatred I ask... NO, I DEMAND that when you are (or if you become) a part of this team you will avoid all such topics on the course and during Team Play. I am positive you can figure out these issues I am speaking of for yourself, but if you cannot, please message me. I hope to meet some new people during this tryout and we can go out and have some fun October 30th.

Now I have used this line before, but in regards to everything I mentioned above, I believe George Clooney said it best in Ocean's 11: "If that's not your brand of vodka....eat as much as you like and have a safe journey. September has come and gone and what an exciting month it was! Awesome golf with the Fedex Cup, Ryder Cup, El Dorado Men’s Club Partner-Partner! Quite a month indeed.

First a big shoutout to my fellow board members for running the Partner-Partner Tournament as I was on the mend coupled with a nasty cold. Well done Omar, Ziggy, Brad, Terry, Scoreboard Livy, Monty, Cliff, Rob, Matt, Cookie, Mike V and in his own absence, Nick.

A Flight Gross Winners with a 2-day total of 166, Dave Rubin/John Hasselman bested the field by 10 shots! A Flight Net Winners saw Corey Smith/Bret Holloway shoot Net 166-1/2 for a 3 shot victory!

B Flight Gross Winners with a 2-day total of 189, Cliff Aichele/Rick Gilmore won a card-off with Matt Huntington/Justin VanDerBroek. B Flight Net Winners were Michael Burke/Jesse Duncan with Net 163-1/2 for a 4-1/4 shot victory!

C Flight Gross Winners with a 2-day total of 207, Trey Cox/John Rogers bested the field by 3 shots. C Flight Net Winners were Darryl Lee/Lloyd Lee with Net 166-3/4 for a 3-1/2 shot victory!

This is a fun tournament as you see players pucker when its their turn to play the Dreaded Orange Ball! For you newer members Team Scoring is the Orange Ball plus 2 other balls. Each Team will receive a sleeve of Orange Balls and must finish with one to qualify! The Orange Ball is designated by Official Scorecard order so Player 1 will have it on 1, 5, 9, 13, 17. Player 2 has 2, 6, 10, 14 & 18. Player 3 has 3, 7, 11 & 15. Player 4 has 4, 8, 12 & 16. If you haven’t done so, turn in your batting order by General Meeting night, October 12th. NO CHANGES AFTER THE 12TH!

November 13th is Superintendent’s Revenge and we will have our Priority Tee Times assigned at the October General Meeting. You must be present to be included in Priority Tee Times!

I think this years Partner/Partner brought on some of the lowest scores we have seen in many years. Not every day you play a two-man scramble for nine holes then cross over for the back nine, it can get a bit confusing. Speaking about confusing, this event causes a bit of confusion when it comes to knowing what flight you might are entered in for Special Events. We had a few people sign the wrong green marker, which in all cases was easy to figure out results. For future reference please check at the sign in table for a copy to review.

The Dreaded Orange Ball went off with out a hitch, another great job by our Tournament Chairmen DD. My team came in with only 1 Orange ball, we had to putt around the lake on 18. Needless to say we didn't cash.

Daylight Saving time has come to end, wish means no more Putting Contest and no more 9 Hole before the November Meeting. We are also having our election of 2022 Board Of Directors at November Meeting.

This month we have Superintendent's Revenge, the course will be set up by Mark Lilliberg (the Superintendent) and DD, it will be a new experience for most. There will be some long holes and some short holes. Have Fun.

Next month we have a Christmas Shotgun tournament and Raffle at the December meeting.

OCTOBER 2021 MEETING MINUTES

On Tuesday, October 11, 2021, the monthly meeting of the El Dorado Park Men’s Golf Club was held not in the Big White Tent but in the Restaurant, just like we used to do many years ago. The pre-meeting comfort food dinner included salad, meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cookies for desert.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Terry Fulford who led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were approximately 75 members in attendance including Past Presidents Mike Montgomery, Cliff Aichele, Terry Fulford, and Nick Zamora. No new members were present. The previous month’s Meeting Minutes and Treasurer’s Report were approved.

President Fulford requested a moment of silence in honor and remembrance of several members of our El Dorado family: longtime members Don Pickovich and Tom Shine, and Larry Bartley’s wife.

Directors’ Reports were as follow:

Director Mike Vaughn announced the winners of the year’s final pre-meeting Putting Tournament. Five golfers tied for second, while first place was a tie between Mike Wilson, Brian Dauk and our esteemed Webmaster Mark Miller. Mike also noted that the Match Play Flights Championship, which started with 80 players, was down to just four players in each Flight, with semi-final matches set for this month. Once again Mike did a great job of running this months-long event.

Entertainment Chairman Steve Cook noted that there are no more Away Tournaments scheduled for this year. The first Away Tournament of 2022 will be January at Rec Park. Steve is currently taking reservations for the lengthy bus ride from El Dorado to Rec Park. Not really – I just wanted to see if anyone is actually reading these minutes. The Weekender for next year is tentatively set for April 2/3 in Las Vegas. Steve also announced the winner of the Little Brown Jug, awarded to the best overall performance in Away Tournaments. This year’s award went to Tom Seidl, who seems to have garnered every award we have since he joined. Quite a performance, Tom.

Director Omar Diaz noted that significant work was being done on bunkers adjacent to many of the greens. If the bunker is being worked on, it can be played as ground under repair during our upcoming tournaments. Omar announced the winner of the year’s final pre-meeting 9 Hole Tournament. Finishing second was Kerry Bryant, while first place honors went to Nick Mardesich. Omar also noted that Net Golfer of the Month for September was Cameron Tanseco with a Net 68. There were no Gross GOM cards turned in (my chance to win a plaque for a nice 97 is probably gone forever now). Omar noted that Saturday Team Play try-outs are coming up. Director Nick Zamora announced that the Most Improved Golfer for the third quarter was Trey Cox. Nice job Trey.

Vice President/Tournament Chairman Don Didier once again emphasized the importance of keeping up with the group ahead of you. With as many groups as we have playing and with daylight hours decreasing this time of the year, it’s imperative. We may need to limit the number of groups playing in the November Superintendent’s Revenge Tournament, so sign up early for this event.

Director Cliff Aichele reminded us that the election for next year’s officers is coming in November. The Board nominated slate is as follows: President – Terry Fulford; VP/Tournament Chairman – Don Didier; Secretary - Rob Kuehn; and Treasurer – Bob Livingstone. The October putting contest was our last Putting Contest of 2021.

The Flights Championships have had some great matches. The Semi-Finals are almost complete. Championship Saturday is November 20. We have 8:30, 8:40 and 8:50 reserved.

Look forward to coordinating the Putting Contest and Flight Championships for our Club next year. It is great seeing so many of you participate and enjoy them. See you at the November meeting.

Another month has passed and another month of some great golf! For the month of October we actually had some Gross cards turned in and a couple of Net cards as well. Some really good scores turned in this month all being under par. Three members all turned in gross 70; Doug Jones, Sonny Nimkhum and Mike Peterson. Nice shooting guys but was not good enough! Our Gross winner with a nice 69 was John Hasselman. Nice job Johnny Boy! We had two Net cards turned in this month, with Tyler Marimon shooting a Gross 72 with a 6 month L.I. of 3 (combo tees) for a net 69. But our Net winner was Stan “The Man” Farris who shot a Gross 80 with a 6 month L.I. of 16 (combo tees) for a net 64. Way to go Stan! Stan also won the Seniors men championship at Lakewood Country Club last month. He was “enfuego” this past month with his golf game. Thanks to all that participated.

October was also the last month of the 9 hole tournament (before meeting night). Our winners were as follows: Nick Mardesich net 34 ($65), Henry Bryant net 35 ($45), Scott Paul and Jason Brendle net 36 ($25), Tom Turner and Mike Filbey net 36.5 ($10). Thanks that all played this year before the meetings.

Next up is Lilliberg Revenge on November 13. Let’s see how creative he can get this year!

The Dreaded Orange Ball Tournament saw some pretty good scores and a few forgettable ones! I want to thank the field for keeping up the pace of play and allowing our last groups finish just before dark. We had a full field of 44 groups and thanks to a couple of late replacements, we did not need Mr. Blind Draw!

A Flight Gross Winners with a total of 212 were Mardesich, Christiansen, Jamison and Petersen besting the field by 4 shots! A Flight Net Winners saw Aichele, Gilmore, Summers and Giroux shoot Net 205 for a 1 shot victory!

B Flight Gross Winners with a total of 233 were Dhawan, Cochrane, Reiner and Brendle had a 3 shot victory. B Flight Net Winners were DeAngelis, DeAngelis, DeAngelis and Standish with Net 200 for a 2 shot victory! Welcome back Paul!

C Flight Gross Winners with a total of 245 were Faris, Dickerson, Sharp and Witherspoon besting the field by 2 shots. C Flight Net Winners were Hodge, Dortch, Monat and Lynch with Net 206 for a 2 shot victory!

December 18th is our Christmas Shotgun Tournament. For new members and old forgetful ones, this is a Threesome Flighted Event with two threesomes per group (sixsome). Field is limited to 192 players and all members must qualify by having played in a minimum of 3 Club Events during the previous 12 months. The Men’s Club has the course to ourselves for the day. We will have a 7:30am Shotgun Start and the cost will be $80 to walk, $95 to ride. Special Events will be an extra $20. After the Tournament members can participate in a Derby or continue to play golf until dark. Sign Ups will open November 9th.

Well I don’t know about you but I am sure glad the Orange Ball tournament is over, it never brings out the best in my game! Special Events for this tournament brought out some question from some of the newer members so I thought I’d try to help explain.

Gross Skins are flighted (A, B & C). A Gross Skin is the lowest gross score on any hole (1 through 18) in your flight, so if you get a birdie or eagle you have to be the only one (in your flight) in order to win on that hole.

Orange Ball Skin (only holes 1 through 16), these are also flighted. Every player had 4 tries at the orange ball so it's a smaller field with less chances to cut Skins (par could be lowest score), better odds of winning but again you have to be the lowest score in your flight to win.

I hope this helps take any confusion but if you still have question’s please feel free to contact me or any other Director.

Oh, Stan is not alone as Jerome Hodge par on #9, Matt Smith par on#15, Kevin Boylan par on #15 could have won or cut someone.

**The Club provides a $400 annual stipend for each member of the Board and the Webmaster. Most directors invite a prospective volunteer and do a weekend outing but some just accept the stipend less a donation early this year to Gabby in the restaurant.

I am looking forward to a great 2022 with a lot of great tournaments. Team Play starts in January and we have tryouts under way.

Reminder, our next General Meeting on 12/14 we will be having a big raffle put on by Brad Wilcox. You don't want to miss it! I am sure there will be golf stuff, booze and money!!

Last month we had the Superintendent's Revenge, it seemed like everybody enjoyed playing from different tees, and some tough pin placements. Thanks Marc.

Our next home tournament is our Annual Christmas Shotgun tournament on 12/18. If you want to play and haven't signed up yet, please contact Don ASAP (if you have played in 3 tournaments this year).

NOVEMBER 2021 MEETING MINUTES

On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, the monthly meeting of the El Dorado Park Men’s Golf Club was held in the Big White Tent. No scheduling faux pas this month, so we got our tent back. The pre-meeting dinner included salad, tortillas, chicken fajitas, cheese enchiladas, beans, rice, chips, salsa and cookies for desert. Some of that typical German food that Herr Bingmeister is known for.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Terry Fulford who led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Terry didn’t let the lack of an actual flag bother him in the least. There were approximately 75 members in attendance including Past Presidents Mike Montgomery, Cliff Aichele, Terry Fulford, Tom Retterath, Richard Scoville and Nick Zamora. New members present who introduced themselves included Luie Rodriguez, James Sola and Collin Carter. The previous month’s Meeting Minutes and Treasurer’s Report were approved.

President Fulford reminded us that election for next year’s officers were being held tonight. Director Aichele introduced Gene Milner, who gave a brief history of his time and accomplishments at El Do. Gene is running for one of the two elected Director spots, along with current Directors Mike Vaughn and Mark Ziegenhagen. Cliff then passed out ballots, which were collected a few minutes later and counted by Cliff and other Board members (excluding Vaughn and Ziegenhagen).

Director Montgomery gave a touching tribute to long-time member John “J.D.” Davis, who passed away several days ago. A moment of silence honoring J.D. was observed. There will be a Celebration of Life for him on November 21 in the Big White Tent.

Directors’ Reports were as follow:

Director Mike Vaughn discussed results of the Match Play Flights Championship semi-final round, and the scheduled final round matches.

Entertainment Chairman Steve Cook noted that there are no more Away Tournaments scheduled for this year. The first Away Tournament of 2022 will be January 30 at Rec Park. Sign up online for this event quickly, as starting times are limited. The April Vegas Away Weekender is also described on our Website.

Director Omar Diaz informed us that for the upcoming Superintendent’s Revenge Tournament the newly reconstructed bunkers will be played as Lift, Clean and Place IN the Bunker. Non-reconstructed bunkers will be played as the ball lies. Omar also noted that Saturday Team Play try-outs will be held on December 5. Contact Matt Huntington if you are interested.

Handicap Chairman/Director Nick Zamora reiterated the importance of playing the ball as it lies, the basic mantra of our Club. Several of our new members may not have fully understood this. Hopefully now they do and won’t be facing a DQ out of ignorance of the rules.

Vice President/Tournament Chairman Don Didier discussed the results of the October Orange Ball Tournament. He also noted that because of reduced daylight hours this time of the year, 25 members who wanted to play in the November tournament would not be able to (a lesson to be learned - sign up early, guys). Don briefly described the course layout for the Super’s Revenge, and reminded everyone to NOT post your score. Don emphasized that pace of play is critical so that groups with late starting times can finish in daylight. Don noted that you must have played in a minimum of three events during the year to be eligible for the Christmas Tournament. That tournament is a Shotgun, playing with two teams of three players each, so basically sixsomes. We have the course for the day, so sign up for one of the Derbies taking place after the tournament. Contact Mark Ziegenhagen or Matt Huntington if you’re interested in these truly fun and potentially economically rewarding events.

Director Cliff Aichele announced the results of the election for the two elected Directors. Mike Vaughn and Mark Ziegenhagen narrowly edged out Gene Milner for the spots.

Secretary Kuehn announced that the Golfer of the Month for October were John Hassleman with a nice 70 and Stan Faris with an incredible 64. Truly amazing, Stan. Stan is understandably expecting a visit/letter from the Handicap Committee.

Special Events Director Brad Wilcox described “Regular Skins vs. Orange Ball Skins” to clear up any confusion regarding the difference. He also noted that if Stan Faris had entered all of the Special Events last tournament he would have been appreciably wealthier today. Round of your life and didn’t get in? Brad described the Special Events for the November Tournament, and noted that we will all be filling divots on the first fairway to help the Greenskeeper maintain our course in as good a shape as possible. Brad also reminded everyone what great raffle prizes will be awarded at the December meeting, so be sure to attend.

Well it is December already. Flights went well and the Championship matches were played Saturday November 20. These matches were as follows; President’s; Alex Resurreccion Vs. Rich Boyker, Vice President’s; Scott Dietschak Vs. Joey Schilling, Secretary’s; Jeff Benedetti Vs. Kevin Bartley, Treasurer’s; Justen Lee Vs. Josh Rand and Director’s; Jeff de Graaff Vs. Dennis Smith.

Our 2021 Flights Champions are Alex Resurreccion (1-Up), Joey Schilling (Default), Kevin Bartley (5&3), Justen Lee (2&1) and Jeff de Graaff (1-Up, 19 holes). Prizes for the Flights Champions, Runners Up, and those that were defeated in the Semi-Finals will be presented at the December meeting.

Nothing has been released about the 2022 Quad Club being restarted. If it is, it will return to Recreation Park to be played on Saturday, April 23. If so I will start putting this team together with the team we had ready to win in 2020.

Bring the 2022 Quad Club, Putting contests and Flights Tournament on! It is nice to see so many members enjoying themselves participating in these events.

Hello All…. Happy Holidays!

This will be short and sweet. Only ONE Gross card turned in for November. congrats to Rich Boyker with a Gross 74. Two Net cards turned in so congrats to Lance Breedlove with NET 67. This month will be last chance to qualify for Golfer of the Year tournament. Get those cards in! See you at the Xmas meeting and Tournament!

Well Gentlemen it has been a fun ride being at your service as an El Dorado Men's Club Board Member. As life has gotten very different and busy for me recently I have decided to step away from my duties as a Board Member. I just cannot give the time I used to be able to give. I will still be around, you cannot get rid of me COMPLETELY BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had a lot of fun the last 7 years and want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for making my job so much fun. But more importantly I want to thank all the guys on the Board that keep giving their all so that our Club can keep growing and running smoothly. I have no idea how so many of our Board Members have done it for such a long time, but my Hat is Truly off to them. I will still be the Saturday Team Play Captain and will do my very best to get to a couple meetings to give everyone updates on our Saturday Team. Thank you all once again, this is me signing off Gents!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a full field for November’s Superintendent’s Revenge and the course had a little bite! Marc Lilleberg had the greens running fast with some challenging pin placements. Seemed like everyone enjoyed a little different golf course.

A Flight Gross winners with a 218 were Gonzales/Mardesich/Miller/Thomas. A Flight Net winners with a 209 were Donatov/Gonzales/Lopez/Sterry.

B Flight Gross winners shooting 247 had Burke/Burke/Duncan/Janssen winning in a card-off. B Flight Net winners Hall/Hargrave/Osborne/Schilling squeaked out a one-shot victory.

C Flight Gross winners Latzsch/Lee/Royster/Taylor shot 244. C Flight Net winners, by 2 shots, were Breedlove/Day/Kroner/Tanseco.

December 18th is our final tournament of 2021, The Christmas Shotgun Tournament. I have some open spots for Singles and have lowered the Event Qualifier from 3 to 2 Events in order to fill the Tournament. Sign Ups close Dec. 10th and payment is due no later than December 14th, General Meeting Night. Get ready for a fun day. With our traditional Christmas 6-somes, play will be a little slower than we’ve become accustomed to.

We will not be collecting and money on Tournament Day. I would, and do appreciate prompt payments, especially online payments. Thanks.

Next up on Sunday January 16th is the Scramble. Since the pace of play is pretty quick in this format, we are going to play 5-somes for this event! Since we will be having our Christmas Raffle during the December 14th General Meeting, we will not be issuing Priority Tee Times. Instead, Tee Times will be issued based on random number assigned to members. Sign Up for January Scramble will be activated at the General Meeting. We will return to assigning Priority Tee Times at the General Meeting in January.

Wow can’t believe its December already!! Super's Revenge was a big hit and Marc L. did a great job with course set up, well done Marc.

There were 46 players earning Special Event points in this year’s Super’s Revenge.

A Flight Skins had 4 winners, Colin Boylan, Tim Heffern, Byron Brno & Sasha Bozic @ $125 ea.

B Flight Skins had 5 winners, Ron Lamerton, Michael Burke, Cameron Tanseco, Kyle Sharp & Jason Gonzales @ $100ea.

C Flight Skins has 4 winners, Ken Rademacher with (2), Ron Royste3r & Patrick Serge @ $78ea

The 2 circles on 17 worked out pretty well. Eight players in A Flight hit the inner circle. B Flight saw five players hit the inner circle. Two players in C Flight hit inside the large circle for a cool $80 ea. Well done Rich Koskela & Jeff DeGraaff!
